Helpful Tips To Find College Scholarships

College can be expensive. There. We said it.

As a high school student, you know this as well as anybody. But in addition to academic and institutional funding you can receive, and any federal assistance through the FAFSA, there are some great online resources to help you afford college.

6772335725_3c7f8d408e_bHere are 3 websites that can help kick-start your scholarship application process.

  1. Collegeboard.org
  2. Fastweb.com
  3. Studentaid.gov
A Few Tips:
  1. Do a Google search for “College Scholarships” and see what comes up - there are TONS of options. The more you apply to, the more opportunities you have of being awarded scholarship money to go towards tuition.
  2. Career-related funding – want to be a teacher? A historian? An engineer? There are a lot of non-profit organizations that want to help promising students reach their goals. Google can help you find these groups as well.
  3. You should never, never, NEVER pay to apply for any scholarships or grants – if you are asked, exit the site immediately!

Good luck in your hunt, and as always, contact an ENC Admissions Counselor to assist with application, programs, majors, financial aid and any other college related questions.
