Doing Holidays College Style

Posted by ENC Student Life on Nov 28, 2016 7:10:00 AM

You're almost done with the semester! Christmas is just around the corner and you might be feeling a bit homesick for the holiday festivities. Keep up the good spirits with these 4 tips.

Decorate - Head on over to the Nease Library or IRC and make some colorful paper chains or a special door decoration that feels festive.

Listen to holiday music and movies - Turn on Mannheim Steamroller, Christmas carols, White Christmas, or your favorite holiday movie or sound track and listen while you finish your homework or study for finals. Get in the holiday spirit!

Continue your family traditions - Just because you're away from home doesn't mean you can't participate in your families holiday traditions. Bake your moms cookies, watch your families favorite movie, or build a snowman.

Start new holiday traditions - You're in college and you're an adult, it's time to start your own holiday traditions. Go in to the tree lighting in Boston, watch the Christmas episodes of Friends, or bake some cookies in Spange Parlor. Boston has plenty of great holiday events to do, try some of them.

If the holiday blues really have you down, remember, you'll be home for a whole month in just a few weeks!
