Finding a job is every seniors greatest worry. There are so many ways to go about searching for a job, so many applications to complete, and so many other people looking for the same types of jobs. It can all feel a little overwhelming. Thankfully, we have a few ideas of how to make the process as smooth as possible.

There are hundreds of websites designed to help match job seekers with employeers. Try searching for your ideal job title and city on sites like Indeed.com, Monster.com, Glassdoor.com, and even Linkedin.com. For most of these sites, you upload your resume in addition to creating a customized profile page that can be viewed by employeers. Be sure to represent yourself fairly and accuratly in your information across each platform and don't forget to check for typos!

Use your contacts to your advantage! Have a friend of a friend who works at your dream company? Reach out to them. Do your parents or relatives have friends that are hiring? Ask them to pass along your resume. There is no shame in using the resources you have at your disposal. In fact, a good number of adults get jobs simply because of the people they know. Don't miss out on a great job just because you are too sky to ask.

Talk to people, all the people, everywhere. If you are at a networking event, on the T, or even out at dinner, talk to the people around you. You wll never know what kinds of influential people you have passed up the opportuity to talk with unless you start the conversation. First impressions greatly impact the potential of you getting a job, so be sure to present yourself well.
